1) Pls help in getting me the following properties of A106 Gr.B
-Thermal Conductivity @85 deg.C
-Latent heat of fusion
-Specific heat of solid
-Co-efficient of Thermal expansion
-Expansion on solidification

2) What is the difference between API 5L and API 5CT in their application in the industry? Where are they used?

Hello,

Part of an answer.

There are three piping specifications that are in general use throughout the industry.  ASTM A-106, Grade B, ASTM A-53, Grade B, and API 5L, Grade B.  These specifications are very similar and today most pipe manufacturers will sell a single (tubular) pipe product that will satisfy all three of these (not very exclusive) specifications.  The specification is usually marked: "ASTM A-106, Grade B, ASTM A-53, Grade B, and API 5L, Grade B" along the longitudinal direction of the pipe.  These piping grades are used in petroleum refineries, chemical plants and power generating plants for gases, liquid hydrocarbons, steam and water, at  temperatures up to 800 degrees F. 字串1

The expansion coefficient for ASTM A-106, Grade B, ASTM A-53, Grade B, and API 5L, Grade B is given by ASME piping Codes as follows (inches of expansion per 100 feet of length):

Temperature (F)         Expansion
70                      0.00
100                     0.23
200                     0.99
300                     1.82
400                     2.70
500                     3.62
字串6

600                     4.60
700                     5.63
800                     6.70
900                     7.81
1000                    8.89

API 5L is a premium grade of line pipe that is commonly used for cross country transportation pipeline for gas and liquid hydrocarbons.  API 5 CT is used for well casing applications.

Regards, John.
